What ages is the Parent-Child Discovery Insight for?
There is no fixed age. You can also complete this to understand your adult children.
Your child’s core Life Path is calculated from their date of birth and does not change. What does change is how those patterns show up at different stages of life.
For a younger child, you may recognise behaviour, sensitivities and communication needs. With teenagers, it can help make sense of independence, pressure responses and the occasional “Who is this person and what happened to my child?” phase.
Adult children can be explored too. They may just object to being called children.
What exactly is the Parent-Child Discovery Insight?
It is a personalised insight experience designed to help you understand how your child may naturally think, communicate, respond, connect and experience the world.
It looks beneath the behaviour to explore patterns such as independence, sensitivity, emotional needs, communication style, strengths and responses under pressure.
Think of it less as putting your child into a box and more as discovering which operating system they arrived with.
The goal is to help you understand yourself clearly so you can make aligned decisions with confidence.
Is this the same as an ADHD assessment or psychological evaluation?
No.
Child Life Path Insights does not diagnose ADHD, autism, learning difficulties, mental-health conditions or any other medical or psychological condition.
It is an insight tool — another lens through which you can understand your child.
If you have concerns about your child’s health, development or wellbeing, those should always be discussed with an appropriately qualified professional.
How accurate is it?
The report is personalised from your child’s information and the responses you provide, and many parents tell us that the insights feel remarkably familiar.
But this is not about declaring, “This is exactly who your child is and forever shall be.”
Children are human beings, not spreadsheets.
Use the report as a mirror: notice what resonates, what helps you understand something differently, and what gives you a useful new way of responding.
How long will it take to complete?
Usually around 5 minutes.
There are no right or wrong answers, no exam conditions, and nobody is timing you with a clipboard.
Simply answer according to the child you actually know — not the angelic version who apparently lives at somebody else’s house.
Is my child’s information safe?
Yes. We only collect the information needed to create your child’s personalised insight.
Your child’s information is used solely for generating the report and is handled in accordance with South Africa’s Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).
Child report data is deleted within 24 hours of submission. We do not sell or share your child’s personal information.
That is much stronger than vague “stored only as necessary” wording, because you can give parents a concrete retention period.
What is the difference between the free report and the full Assessment report?
The free report gives you your child’s Life Path number, their core wiring, and a personalised communication insight based on your answers. The full profile goes much deeper — including their emotional needs, learning style, confidence triggers, shadow patterns, communication guide, and a parent-child dynamic analysis. It also includes their name numerology for an even more complete picture.
Do I need to know anything about numerology?
No.
You do not need to calculate anything, study number meanings or know what a Life Path is before you begin.
The underlying Life Path framework forms part of how the insight is created. We do the interpretation and translate it into language you can actually use.
No calculator required.
Is this spiritual? Psychological? Something else?
It sits in the world of personal insight and self-understanding.
It draws on Life Path patterns alongside the information you provide to create a personalised reflection of your child.
It is not a religion, medical diagnosis or psychological evaluation.
You are free to take what resonates, question what does not, and use the insights in whatever way is useful to you.
What if something in the report doesn’t sound like my child?
That matters too.
A pattern can express differently depending on age, environment, confidence, family dynamics and life experience.
Sometimes you will recognise something immediately. Sometimes you may think, “Absolutely not.” And occasionally something only makes sense later when you see the pattern playing out in a different situation.
The report is there to help you observe your child more clearly — not argue with you about who they are.
How is my child’s information processed?
Yes. Technology, including artificial intelligence, forms part of the system we use to generate your personalised report from the information you provide.
The framework, interpretation rules and report structure have been developed by OwnYrSpace. AI helps us process those inputs and produce the personalised written insight.
AI does not diagnose your child, and the report should not be treated as a medical or psychological evaluation.
Your responses are securely processed by a third-party AI provider solely to generate your personalised report. They are not used to train AI models and are deleted by the provider within 30 days. OwnYrSpace deletes the report data from our system within 12 hours of submission.
Can I do this for more than one child?
Absolutely — and this is often where things become particularly interesting.
Two children raised in the same home can need completely different things from you.
One may need freedom. Another needs predictability. One wants to talk everything through.
Another would rather disappear into their room until 2047.
Understanding those differences can help explain why the exact same parenting approach works beautifully with one child and falls spectacularly flat with another.
Is there someone I can speak to if I have questions?

If something in your child’s report raises a question, doesn’t make sense, or simply leaves you wanting to talk it through, you’re welcome to contact us.
These insights can sometimes touch on things that are quite personal. You don’t have to sit alone wondering, “Okay… what do I do with this now?”
